Ford has many driver-assist packages that help with safety. The Blis (blind spot information system) offers blind-spot monitoring that includes cross-traffic alerts. It works whether you are on the highway or backing out of a parking spot. It also has lane-keeping assistance and lane centering help. It adds automatic braking with pre-collision assistance. Adaptive cruise control also keeps you going with traffic. Evasive steering assist can also get you out of tight spots while driving. It is not a self-driving car, but it gets close with enhanced active parking assistance. Other features include navigation, a rearview camera, and auto-high beam lights. The Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ package retails for $795, but may be offered as an incentive for purchasing a new Ford Edge.
